hi everyone, I hope I can word this right! Apologies in advance if I don’t.
I recently had a fusion on L5/S1 (5 days ago, I know very recent) I am feeling okay except every now and then, it feels like something inside my stomach, but near to the surface (I was thinking maybe internal stitches?idk) has this insane pain! The best way to describe it would be feeling like something was catching on something in there. It’s quite a sharp and short but very intense pain. Is it possible its stitches catching on something? potentially my organs settling back into place? or to do with the swelling/the stitches wound stretching because of it? I was opened up stomach and back as I'm tall and its my surgeons preferred method. Is it something I should be concerned about? I think its mainly happening if I lean forward, I am trying to avoid it but happens when getting out of the car or standing up from the couch! its pretty freaking sore, I see my surgeon in a couple days but just unsure if its something to be concerned about. I have a million different things running through my mind!
Thanks in advance for your help!
