umbilical hernia surgery recovery

I know this isn't about back/neck issues, but I'm wondering if anyone here has had laparoscopic umbilical hernia surgery. I'm going under the blade the middle of the month and was wondering if anyone has any post surgery tips for me. It'll be outpatient under general anesthesia.

Being on opiates through pain management, I'm not holding my breath for the surgeon prescribing anything afterwards...hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not counting on it. Pain management just said to call them before filling a Rx.

I have this, but no surgery is in sight. As my doctor told me, if it doesnt bother you dont bother having it fixed. Many people can live for years without any surgery.

I do know of a few people who have had this. It was a day of so of taking it easy, then slowly getting back to normal. Pain management was done with Tylenol-3 But like you said, you are already on opioids, so my doctors are not going to prescribe anything else.
